Officials from my department notified the above named individual on 28th April 2023 that, as a result of an over-claim identified during the processing of their 2020 Basic Payment Scheme claim, it was required under EU regulation to carry out a review of land parcels claimed in the previous four years.
As a result of this review, in February 2024 my Department proceeded to recoup an over-payment of funds in the period 2016 to 2019.
My Department is at present considering a review of the reduced area on foot of information received from the customer's agricultural consultant. My Department will contact the person named as soon as this review process is complete.
