The total of 2,969 staff is comprised of 2,268 WTE for the Department of Health and 701 WTE for the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. The HSE Pay and Numbers Strategy has yet to be agreed by Government. However, the I have approved the allocation of 2,268 WTE new development posts relevant to the health budget. Discussions are ongoing in relation to the PNS, and while this is not yet fully finalised I am, in the main, in agreement with the current proposals.
