89. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment to provide a breakdown of the fines issued against his Department by the Court of Justice of the European Union for the period 2010 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26132/24]

In March 2024, the CJEU imposed a lump sum fine of €4.5 million on Ireland for failure to transpose the European Electronic Communications Code Directive on time. The formal request for payment notice was received from the EU Commission on 20 May 2024. Ireland has 45 days (by 3 July) to pay the fine.
