69. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if his Department and each body and agency under the remit of his Department has achieved the Government-mandated public sector remote working target of 20%; when this was achieved in each instance; the current percentage of staff working remotely; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The number of staff in my Department currently approved to work remotely is 806; making up 79.48% of staff in total. The minimum target of 20% was exceeded shortly after the publication of our first Blended Working Policy in June 2022, and the launch of the formal application process for Civil Service staff via the NSSO.
These figures for the Department include staff working in the Labour Court, The Workplace Relations Commission, the Companies Registration Office and the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland.
Please note that the remote working policies of the Agencies and Public Bodies under my Department’s remit are an operational matter for those Agencies, and I do not have any direct function in these matters.
