To ask the Minister for Health the consideration been given to alternative pathways to registration for non-EAA dentists on Stamp 4 permits (details supplied); the consideration been given to a new process for recognition of qualifications; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Dentists Act 1985 establishes the Dental Council as the regulatory body for the dental profession in Ireland. The Dental Council is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and publishing a Register of Dentists and a Register of Dental Specialists and other Dental auxiliary roles. As the regulator, issues concerning the registration of Dentist’s are a matter for the Dental Council to consider.
