As the deputy has referred to, my Department has received a number of applications for funding under the Emergency Works Scheme (EWS) in addition to an application for a new school building. Given the extensive nature of the works requested, officials in my Department are currently exploring options in respect of identifying the most appropriate solution and delivery mechanism for this school. In the interim the EWS team has approved the application for life safety systems as the most priority of the applications received and I understand that officials in my Department have been in contact with the school as recently as this week and will continue to engage with the school in respect of a comprehensive solution.
