877.To ask the Minister for Health if he intends to amend the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 to prohibit the practice outlined in correspondence (details supplied); if the HSE referred this matter to his Department; if so, to outline the actions he or his officials have taken since then; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am aware, following legal advice that the promotional scheme in question is not in breach of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Products) Regulations 2020 and further Regulations are being developed under Section 23 of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act to address same.
