844.To ask the Minister for Health the reason there is still no consultant neurologist at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, despite one being promised since 2020, causing neurology patients to endure 60-112km journeys to access neurology services; and if the current recruitment embargo in force in the HSE will prevent that appointment being made in the near future. As this is an operational matter for the Health Service Executive, the HSE has been asked to respond directly to the Deputy.
