I would like to thank the Deputy for bringing this matter to my attention. Yes, I can confirm that I and the Payment Scheme Executive Office were aware that there were issues with the phone system in the early part of last week. I am happy to report that these matters have been resolved and the phone lines are up and running since Wed 29 May.

All information on the Scheme, and how to apply, and what information applicants will need, can be found at the dedicated Payment Scheme website - gov.ie/paymentscheme. Resources include an information booklet for the scheme, questions and answers, and short 'how to' videos on the straightforward application process. The Helpline is also available at +353 1 522 9992. Applicants will be supported throughout the application process with information and advice. They will be able to get assistance with any aspect of the application process if they need it.

Alternatively, a person can contact either their local Citizens Information Centre or the National Advocacy Service who have application forms and can provide assistance in completing applications.
