I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department is not the competent authority with respect to issuing a decision in the appeal case of the named persons.

My Department carries out a review of documentation submitted regarding appeals of the decisions of the trustees of the Eircom Pension fund and if the relevant documentation has been supplied to my Department, submits the documentation to the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform for a final decision.

Officials in my Department are currently reviewing our records and will be in contact with the named persons representatives to ascertain the current status of the appeal.
