551.To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 224 of 30 May 2024, in relation to a person (details supplied), if she will identify how this person should engage with her Department in order to revert to their true identity; and if she will make a statement on the matter. If a person has been granted permission to remain in Ireland under a false identity, they should engage with my Department in order to seek to revert to their true identity. This may result in the person's permission to remain in the State being reviewed or withdrawn.

The person referred to by the Deputy should engage with the Citizenship Division of my Department outlining the background of their current situation for officials from the Division's consideration.

I would also note that it is an offence to provide false or misleading information in the context of an application for naturalisation to my Department.
