The school referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter my Department’s pipeline of school buildings for a project to provide 5 General classrooms, 2 SET rooms,1 Multimedia room, 1 Textiles room, 2 Classroom SEN and the purchase of 2 Classroom SEN.

The project has been devolved for delivery to Mayo Sligo and Leitrim ETB (MSLETB). The Design Team were appointed in Quarter 2 2022.

This consultant will lead the project through the various stages of architectural planning and onwards through the statutory planning process and construction.

A pre-stage 1 report was received in my Department and was assessed. My Department are currently awaiting the submission of the stage 1 report from the Design team and the details of this adjacent property should form part of this Stage 1 report. My department also recently liaised with the MSLETB in May 2024 advising that a stage meeting between all stakeholders is to be arranged soon to progress this much needed project.
