860. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of persons who have been detained when arriving into the State and charged with travelling on a false Chinese passport in the past 12 months, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14195/24]

As the Deputy will be aware, the arrest and detention of people travelling on false passports is a matter for An Garda Síochána.
I have, however, requested information in respect of such cases from An Garda Síochána and I am informed that information is not recorded in the manner as requested by the Deputy.
