90. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will ensure the immediate installation of the 2008 NFCD plaque at the famine sculpture (details supplied); the reason this plaque has not been installed; the earliest date for installation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In June 2023, following agreement between my officials, the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and the OPW, a commemorative plaque was installed in the Custom House Visitors Centre for the public to view. This plaque commemorates the first National Famine Memorial Day in 2008.

In relation to a proposed plaque at the famine memorial sculpture on Customs House Quay, this is a matter for Dublin City Council as the sculpture is under the Council’s remit.
