To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if her Department or any of its agencies are involved in any exercise, operation, training or research which includes involvement by any Israeli state agency, any Israeli-based company or any company based elsewhere in the world which is owned or part-owned by any Israeli state agency or by any Israeli-based company. The Deputy will appreciate that it is neither feasible nor appropriate to detail all circumstances in which engagement or involvement with other jurisdictions may have arisen. This is particularly the case in relation to security matters. I am also informed that is not possible to determine whether any company based elsewhere in the world who is involved with my Department or agencies within my remit is owned or part-owned by any Israeli state agency or company.

However I am informed the Probation Service met staff from the Israeli Embassy earlier this year for the purpose of learning about the operation of the Irish Probation Service.
