To ask the Minister for Finance following the sale of the 5% equity stake in AIB, and in relation to the Irish Strategic Investment Fund, if he can outline the current value of its 'Directed' and 'Discretionary' portfolios, and for the latter, if this can be disaggregated in terms of the Irish portfolio and global portfolio; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The NTMA have advised me that the data requested is not yet available. The most recently published data in respect of the Discretionary portfolio is in ISIF’s mid-year update available at isif.ie/uploads/publications/MidYearUpdate2023.pdf.
As at 30 June 2023, the Discretionary portfolio was valued* at €8.5 billion, of which the Irish portfolio was valued at €3.6 billion, and the Global portfolio was valued at €4.9 billion. As at that date, the Directed portfolio was valued* at €6.1bn.
