To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he will consider expanding the croí cónaithe scheme to include a right-sizing grant, to enable persons who are currently over-accommodated to create one or more own-door units from their current homes (details supplied); if his officials will study census data to establish the extend of over-accommodation throughout the State and consider the optimal demographic target for such a scheme to factor in potential displacement of family homes from the sale or rental market in the short to medium term; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
