To ask the Minister for Health the number of nursing homes that have given notice to the chief inspector of HIQA that they wish to deregister and repurpose their buildings in the past three years and to date in 2023; the reasons for repurposing their premises; the effect of the 36 weeks of cooling-off period on the number of places available to the elderly in nursing homes throughout the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
