I signed the Employment Regulation Order (ERO) for the Security Industry on 25^thAugust 2023, with a commencement date of the 4^thSeptember 2023. The ERO provides for approximately 16,000 workers who saw their minimum rate of pay rise from €11.65 to €12.90 per hour. The ERO is only legally enforceable from the 4^thof September; there is no provision for backpay.
