The Local Youth Club Grant Scheme allocation for 2023 is €2.5m. The Scheme supports volunteer-led youth work activities at a local level. These grants are made available to all youth clubs and groups through local Education and Training Boards. This scheme supports some 1,400 clubs or groups nationwide. The estimated cost to implement a 15% increase in budget 2024 for the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme would be an additional €375,000 in current funding.
