1123. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 785 of 25 July 2023, if she is aware the family member of EU/EEA/Swiss citizen section at the visa decisions link provided has not updated for a number of months showing applications for this visa remain on 27 October 2022; and the efforts that are being made by her Department to improve processing times for applications of this nature. I can advise the Deputy that all family member of EU/EEA/Swiss citizen visa applications are processed in the Dublin Visa Office.

While every effort is made to process applications as soon as possible, processing times will vary having regard to the volume and complexity of applications.

1,216 visas in this category were processed by my Department at first instance from 1 January 2023 to 31 August 2023. I understand that while the date indicated on the website referred to concerns the oldest of the visa applications on hand, many more recent applications have been and continue to be processed and decided upon.
