To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the amount of money spent by his Department, and agencies under the auspices of his Department, on legal firms for the purposes of answering/dealing with 'Freedom of Information' requests and appeals to the Office of the Information Commissioner, in each of the past five years; the names of the companies used and the amount of money paid to each company; and for this information to be provided in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not engaged the services of a legal firm to consult on any Freedom of Information requests received in the past five years.
