To ask the Minister for Education and Skills her views on whether “white people, Irish people and males” have a privileged status in Irish society, as is indicated in the new NCCA draft curriculum; and her further views on whether the education system should be free of political ideology and offer a neutral space for all in society to learn. Equality, inclusivity and diversity are core values of the curriculum from early years to post-primary level in Ireland. The curriculum seeks to meet the needs of learners of all backgrounds, abilities and genders within our schools. It is vital that all students can avail of an inclusive, welcoming and respectful environment during their time in school.
