To ask the Minister for Health whether he intends extending the existing private hospital claims cover for compensation claims over €1.3 million to outpatient clinics providing private health services in order to reduce the hospital waiting lists for such services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I do not have any current plans to extend the Clinical Indemnity Caps Scheme, referred to by the Deputy, beyond the existing arrangements. However, my Department will continue to keep the matter under review.
