To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport for a definitive reason for the exclusion of the Maugheraboy stop on the new No. 981 bus route from Coolaney to St. Angela’s College in Sligo, given this stop was referred to in all press releases when the route was announced; and when this stop will be included in the route. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport.

The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for securing the provision of public passenger transport services nationally. The NTA also has national responsibility for integrated local and rural transport, including delivering the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan and new Town Services.
