To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will consider working with other Government Departments to establish a funding scheme to assist event organisers in meeting the costs associated with policing civic events, such as marathons or other such community runs or similar sporting events, parades or arts events in order to ensure their viability; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
