The attached table outlines the CAP Pillar 1 Direct Payments for 2021 and 2022, including the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS), the Greening Scheme and the Young Farmer Scheme. Residual payments from previous scheme years continue to issue in subsequent years. Approximately, €1.2bn is paid annually as an income support and is 100% funded by the EU.
