190. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 521 of 18 April 2023, if the form of acceptance is now with her Department; if this ASA project for a two-classroom SEN base has progressed to the next stage; if the review of the temporary accommodation application has been completed by her Department; the recent correspondence her Department has had with the school authority; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The school to which the Deputy refers to was approved funding under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme to build a 2 SEN Classroom Base.

The signed Form of Acceptance, including details of the Design Team and Fees, was received by my Department on 19 April 2023.

The project has been devolved for delivery to the school authority and is currently at the Design Stage. It is now a matter of the Board of Management to advance this project in this context.

In terms of a temporary accommodation application, School Capital Appraisal Section in the Department has engaged with the school on this matter and advised in April that this application is not approved.
