To ask the Minister for Health the number of spinal fusion and other paediatric orthopaedic procedures carried out by Children’s Health Ireland in each year 2017-2023 by month at each location in tabular form; the number which have been outsourced; and the location at which they were conducted. In relation to the particular query raised, as this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
In their direct response to similar parliamentary questions you have asked, I note that Children’s Health Ireland have advised they are unable to complete your requests given the level of work involved, and that they have offered to meet with you in regard to the matter.
