183. My Department is carrying out a Review of the Security of Energy Supply of Ireland’s Electricity and Natural Gas Systems for the period to 2030 but in the context of a sustainable transition to 2050. The consultation on the Review closed on the 28th of October 2022 and yielded over 450 submissions from individuals and organisations. The consultation responses have been reviewed and analysed and have provided important insights with regard to energy security risks, mitigation options and policy measures. I will bring my recommendations on energy security to the Government shortly.
