As I advised in my response of 26 January 2023, my Department formally contacted both CIÉ and the Department of Transport to seek clarity on transfers of service involving CIÉ under the terms of the Public Sector Transfer Network (PSTN) and associated transfer scheme.

My Department has since received a response from CIÉ, through the Department of Transport, which is under consideration by my Department at present. My officials will continue to engage with CIÉ and the Department of Transport as necessary with a view to resolving this matter, following which advice will be provided to relevant bodies regarding transfers of service involving CIÉ.
