319. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if the Government is prepared to drop the visa requirement for Turkish officials visiting Ireland; the discussions that have taken place with Turkish authorities on the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5831/23]

I can inform the Deputy that I am aware of the interest of the Turkish authorities in concluding a reciprocal diplomatic visa waiver agreement with Ireland. These matters are currently being considered by my Department, in consultation with the Department of Foreign Affairs.
