To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the amount of equipment issued under AIMS in 2022; the number of applicants for equipment; the type of equipment issued and the time it took for the said equipment to be issued to educational providers, by county, in tabular form; and the amount spent in 2022. AIM level 5 makes available funding to pre-school providers towards the cost of minor building alterations or the installation of specialist equipment or appliances, which may be required depending on an individual child’s needs.

The amount spent on equipment in 2022 was €553,732.73.

Information on delivery time is provided in the table below. The equipment is delivered to a service by third parties under contract to Pobal.

Much of the equipment listed below needs to be tailored and built to an individual child's needs and these make take longer to build and deliver. This can mean a lead-in time to build and/or adjust in consultation with key specialists. The longer times for these items affect the overall average between approval and delivery.
