To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he will provide an update on progress of the working group that was established to examine the short-, medium- and long-term measures required to protect bird species of conservation concern that are currently listed on the National Parks and Wildlife Service's open seasons order; if he will provide a timeline for those actions to be implemented; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Working Group for the review of the bird species on the Open Seasons Order is proceeding with its plan for a public consultation on the matter. A Chairperson for the public consultation will be appointed in the coming weeks and dates for the consultation will then be finalised.
