To ask the Taoiseach the number of access officers who are employed in his Department, responsible for providing or arranging for and co-ordinating assistance and guidance to people with disabilities accessing his Department's services, as required by section 26 (2) of the Disability Act 2005; and the way that his Department makes its customers aware of this service. My Department has an appointed Access Officer in accordance with the Disability Act 2005 and publishes details about the Access Officer on the Department’s website (gov.ie). The role of the Access Officer in my Department is to act as a point of contact and is responsible for providing, or arranging, assistance and guidance to persons with disabilities who wish to access services provided by the Department.
