To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform his views on the use of a facility (details supplied) in County Cork; if he will liaise with the relevant local authority in order to hand the facility over for community use given that it is currently unused and derelict; and if he will make a statement on the matter. While some parts of the former military barracks at Fermoy, Co Cork were transferred to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, it is not clear from the question that this particular area is under the control of the OPW. 

Following clarification received from the Deputy, my officials understand that the property concerned is owned by the Minister for Defence and further enquiries should be made to that Department.
