To ask the Minister for Rural and Community Development if her Department has any plans to develop a historic building (details supplied) for the enhancement of the area and for the good of the local community; if she will open a period of consultation with the community, relevant State agencies and local elected representatives to devise a plan to develop the house as an amenity or tourist attraction and to keep the property in the ownership of the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not have any plans for the development of the property referred to by the Deputy. I understand the property comes under the ownership of Údarás na Gaeltachta, and the future development of the property would therefore be a matter for that organisation to comment on.
