47. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the number of civil servants in her Department who are seconded to State agencies or other public bodies and in receipt of a higher duty or acting allowance; the number who have been seconded for more than ten, more than 20 and more than 30 years, respectively; if the higher duty allowance is not pensionable; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am advised that 4 officers are on secondment from my Department to other Government Departments. All of these secondments are for a period of less than 10 years.

The salaries for each of the seconded officers are paid by their receiving Department and the salary arrangements are a matter for the receiving Departments.

The table below sets the details for these secondment arrangements.
