As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The issues raised in relation to fines issued by Dublin Bus, Irish rail and Transdev, the Luas operator to passengers for fare evasion is a matter for each of the individual transport operators.
Therefore, I have forwarded the Deputy's question to Dublin Bus, Irish Rail, and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), the agency with responsibility for the Luas operator Transdev, for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days
