In line with the response provided to the Deputy in respect of this question on 20th September, a scheme, specific to the public health service was introduced with effect from 1 July 2022 (retrospectively) to provide for Paid Leave for Public Health Service Employees unfit for work post Covid infection.
The HSE issued the full details of the Scheme to all public health service employers by circular, and eligible employees will have transferred to the new Scheme.
