45. To ask the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 230 of 4 October 2022, if the Revenue Commissioners will be taking any action to recover the difference in tax from the amount that was paid as labelled self-employed as opposed to the amount that should have been paid, had the workers been correctly labelled as employees (details supplied), given that the Revenue Commissioners, as a PRSI collection agent, is responsible for recovering unpaid PRSI for the Department of Social Protection. As previously advised in response to Parliamentary Question No. 230 dated 4 October 2022, regarding the details supplied, Section 851A of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 requires Revenue to uphold taxpayer confidentiality and prohibits the release of any information that could lead to the identification of taxpayers.
