86. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if she will provide an update on the building project for a school (details supplied). [49675/22]

The project to which the Deputy refers has been devolved for delivery to Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB).

This project is currently at Stage 2a of the architectural planning process. The Department understands from LWETB that its design team is currently finalising the Stage 2a report for submission to the Department. This report is expected to be submitted to the Department before the end of November. Subject to no significant issues arising during the completion of the Stage 2a process and following approval in that respect, the next step for LWETB and its Design Team will be to obtain the requisite statutory planning approvals. The project can then be expected to move onward to tender and construction in due course.

While at this early stage it is not possible to provide a timeline for completion of the project, LWETB will be engaging directly with the school authority to keep it informed of progress.
