The project to which the Deputy refers has been devolved for delivery to Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB). This is a Campus project. This project is currently at Stage 2a of the architectural planning process. The Department understands from GRETB that its design team is currently finalising the Stage 2a report for submission to the Department. Subject to no significant issues arising during the completion of the Stage 2a process and following approval in that respect, the next step for GRETB and its Design Team will be to obtain the requisite statutory planning approvals. The project can then be expected to move onward to tender and construction in due course.

While at this early stage it is not possible to provide a timeline for completion of the project, GRETB will be engaging directly with the school authority to keep it informed of progress.
