To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of participants in the National Parks and Wildlife Service Farm Plan scheme for each of the years 2017 to 2021 and to date in 2022; the average number of hectares and the average payment by county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In my tenure as Minister with responsibility for the National Parks & Wildlife Service, I have increased the funding of the National Parks & Wildlife Service Farm Plan Scheme from approximately €500,000 in 2020 to approximately €2m in 2022. 

The number of participants in the NPWS Farm Plan Scheme for each of the years 2017 to 2021 and to date in 2022 (Table 1), along with the average number of hectares (Table 2) and the average payment by county (Table 3) is presented below:
