To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the current status of an application for leave by a person (details supplied) who is employed by her Department which was filed in February 2022; if the request has been granted; if so, the date; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Requests for leave should be made by the teacher to their employer (School Board of Management) in line with the application process detailed in the appropriate leave Circular. If the leave request is approved the absence should be notified by the employer to the Department, not later than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the leave. This Department has no record of any leave query raised by this teacher or on behalf of this teacher in February 2022.

A review of this teacher's leave record shows that two types of leave have been granted and input by her employer (Board of Management) on the Online Claims System since the beginning of the school year 2022/2023.
