Whilst I cannot comment on the individual case raised by the Deputy in his question, I am aware of the correspondence referred to by him and he will receive a substantive response shortly.

To ask the Minister for Health if he will put procedures in place to ensure that there is better coordination and communication between the National Ambulance Service, the Dublin Fire Brigade and the Irish Coast Guard in respect of rescues in the Greater Dublin Area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The HSE has informed me that the National Ambulance Service engages with the Dublin Fire Brigade and the Irish Coast Guard on a regular basis to discuss operational matters and ensure optimum coordination and communication among all agencies. I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy with any additional relevant information.
