To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of applications that her Department received for disability-related social welfare payments in 2021 and 2022; the number that were successful; the number that were eligible based on medical grounds but were refused based on means testing requirements; and application outcome in tabular form by year. My Department does not have all the information requested by the Deputy. The tables below outline the number of applications received, awarded and rejected in 2021 and to end May 2022 for the main disability related social welfare schemes.
