I propose to take Questions Nos. 126, 127 and 128 together.
As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) hasresponsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including the procurement of the PSO bus fleet.
Noting the NTA's responsibility in the matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a direct reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 days.

As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The query raised in relation to the number of buses in the fleet of companies; and the number of bus vehicles in these companies that are not included in the public service obligation numbers is a matter for the individual companies. Therefore, I have referred this question to the operators for direct response to the Deputy. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
