To ask the Taoiseach further to Parliamentary Question No. 377 of 31 May 2022, the breakdown of the amounts paid to barristers by the Chief State Solicitor or Attorney General in actions where the Minister for Education is a named party, together with the amount received by each individual barrister for 2019, 2020, 2021 and year to date in 2022, in tabular form. The table below shows the amounts paid to counsel by the Chief State Solicitor’s Office in actions where the Minister for Education is a named party for the years requested.

I am advised that a full breakdown of counsel paid by name cannot be given for GDPR reasons.

It should be noted that fees paid in a given year may relate to work carried out in earlier years.
