To ask the Minister for Health if patients in County Kerry with neurofibromatosis, nf1, who are currently receiving chemotherapy for inoperable benign bilateral optic pathway glioma will receive some of the less complex elements of their treatment offered to them at University Hospital Kerry to ease the logistical difficulties of travelling long distances to Cork and Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Health if expanded haematology services will be provided at University Hospital Kerry to help prevent cancer patients from County Kerry having to make long and regular journeys to Cork for treatment and disease management; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
